What vaccines are required for boarding?
For everyone’s safety, we require the following:

Dogs: Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP

Cats: Rabies, FVRCP
Vaccine records can be uploaded directly through the Backroads Boarding app.
What should I bring for my dog’s stay?
We recommend bringing your dog’s food, medication, and any comfort items (blanket, toy, etc.). We can supply bedding, bowls, and clean water.
Can my dog stay in the Anxiety Room?
Yes — our Anxiety Rooms are designed for anxious, senior, or sensitive dogs. Simply choose this option when booking.
Can my dogs stay together?
Dogs from the same household can stay together depending on the suite size chosen. If separate feeding is required, they may need their own spaces.
Do you offer updates during boarding?
Yes — we provide updates upon request. Please note that response times may vary depending on care needs and schedule volume.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in and check-out are available during regular business hours. Times may vary slightly depending on the booking platform and holiday schedules.
Do you administer medication?
Yes — we offer oral and injectable medication administration for a small add-on fee.
Do you offer baths before pickup?
Yes — exit baths (small/medium or large/XL) can be added to any boarding stay.
What do I need to bring for my pets stay?

Up to date Vaccine records

Preportioned bags for each meal in sealable bag/ container (this ensures your dog(s) have enough food for their stay without the risk of upset stomachs)

House food is available if necessary for an additional fee.

Personal items are optional (soft bedding, toys/bones)
*Please note that sometimes these things are lost or damaged. No crates will be accepted.

Dogs must be wearing quick-release collars.

Must be on leash while in the lobby and parking lot, and that the leash is controlled by an adult at all times. (Harnesses, buckle collars, pinch/prong collars, and choke chains will be removed to help keep playtime safe.)

What will my dog be doing while at Backroads Boarding?
7:00 AM
Morning potty time. Daycare dogs start to arrive.
8:00 AM
Breakfast in individual kennels for boarding dogs.
9:00 AM - 11:45 AM
Group playtime. Daily activities during this time depend on the dog's needs, weather, and other factors.
12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Nap time. Boarding dogs will go to their private kennels and daycare dogs take naps in the play areas.
*We are closed during this time to ensure the dogs get time to rest and relax.
2:00 PM - 4:45 PM
More group time in our inside and outside play areas.
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Boarding dogs return to individual kennels and have dinner. Daycare dogs get picked up to go home.
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Final potty/play break outside with play groups before bedtime.
Boarding Reservations and Cancellation Policy

All stays require a deposit and credit card on file to secure a reservation.
There is a surcharge of $5 per night and 2 night min, per dog for the following dates:

Daycare Reservations Late Policy
We do not allow regular pick-ups past 7:00 PM. If you do not pick up your daycare dog(s) by the time our lobby closes, you will be charged for boarding and can pick up your dog(s) the following morning before 10:00 AM. Please see our Pricing section for boarding prices.
